Building for Singapore — COE Price SG & TOTO Results SG

Two apps built for everyday Singaporeans. One tracks COE bidding prices. The other shows TOTO and 4D results. Both started from the same place: frustration with existing tools.

Living in Singapore

When you live in Singapore, two things come up in conversation constantly: car prices and lottery results.

Cars here are among the most expensive in the world thanks to the COE (Certificate of Entitlement) system. You don’t just buy a car — you bid for the right to own one. COE prices fluctuate every two weeks, and they can swing by thousands of dollars. If you’re planning to buy a car, you’re checking COE prices obsessively.

And TOTO? It’s a national pastime. Every Monday and Thursday, people check if their numbers came up. It’s not about gambling — it’s about hope, routine, and that little thrill of “what if.”

COE Price SG

I was car shopping in 2024 and found myself constantly opening multiple government websites to check COE results. The data was there, but the experience was terrible — no trends, no notifications, no way to compare categories.

So I built COE Price SG. Live COE prices for all categories. Historical trend charts so you can see if prices are going up or down. A bidding countdown so you never miss an exercise. And a cost calculator that includes everything — COE, ARF, registration fees — so you know exactly what you’re paying.

It’s available on Google Play and the web.

TOTO Results SG

The TOTO app came from a similar frustration. Singapore Pools has a website, but checking results on mobile was painful. And if you wanted to see number frequency, historical draws, or verify your tickets — you’d need multiple apps or websites.

TOTO Results SG shows live TOTO and 4D results as soon as draws happen. But it goes beyond that — number statistics, frequency analysis, hot and cold numbers, a ticket checker, and years of historical data. All cached locally so it works offline.

It’s completely free, no ads, available on App Store and Google Play.

Why local apps matter

Big tech companies don’t build apps for Singapore’s COE system. They don’t build TOTO checkers. These are small-market, niche problems — exactly the kind of problems an indie studio can solve better than anyone else.

We live here. We use these apps ourselves. We understand the context. And that’s why they work.
