An indie product studio from Singapore that builds focused apps for everyday life. Here is what we do, why we do it, and where the name comes from.

The short version

The Everest Lab is an indie product studio based in Singapore. We build mobile and web apps that solve everyday problems — for parents, students, commuters, and regular people who just want tools that work.

We’re bootstrapped, independent, and profitable. No venture capital, no growth hacking, no dark patterns. We make money by making products people actually want to use.

What we’ve built

As of today, we have seven live products:

  • Songlyo — Learn English through music. Our flagship app.
  • Baby Joy — Baby tracking and parenting companion. 50K+ downloads.
  • COE Price SG — Live COE bidding prices and trends for Singapore car buyers.
  • TOTO Results SG — Singapore TOTO and 4D lottery results and statistics.
  • ThuếOnline — Vietnam salary and tax calculator.
  • Little Prince Leo — Animated stories and content for children.

Every product started from a real need. We don’t build things because the market says so — we build things because we’d use them ourselves.

Why “Everest”?

It’s not about the summit. It’s about the climb.

Building products is hard. Building them independently — without a team of 50, without millions in funding — is harder. Every app we ship is a step upward. Every user we help is a reason to keep climbing.

The name is a reminder: meaningful work takes time, persistence, and a willingness to keep going even when the path isn’t clear.

How we work

We keep things simple:

  1. Start with a real problem. Not a market gap. Not a trend. A genuine problem we or someone we know actually has.
  2. Build it properly. Native apps, not wrappers. Fast performance, offline support, clean UI. We’d rather take longer than ship something mediocre.
  3. Stay independent. Self-funded, no ads, no data selling. Our users are our customers, not our product.

What’s next

We’re always working on the next thing. Sometimes it’s a new feature for an existing app. Sometimes it’s an entirely new product. The pipeline stays full because the world has no shortage of problems worth solving.
